About us

The Italo-Australian Sports & Recreation Club is hidden away on the fringe of the Lismore city centre, surrounded by impressive fig trees and lush sporting fields.

It was founded and built in 1960 by local Italian families; around the concept of offering a place where the wider community could come together in a place where sport, food and entertainment could be enjoyed.

The Club was a dominant fixture in the region’s social scene, hosting many big-name bands and drawing large crowds, which cemented it as the proud home of live music for many decades.

Following 60 years of being run by dedicated and passionate volunteers, the Italo-Australian Sports & Recreation Club amalgamated with, industry leading, Club Marconi in 2021 to continue the legacy of its foundation members into today.

The Club holds a special place in the heart of the Northern Rivers community and will continue to be where families are able to gather, over a meal, and create memories together.
